Howard Ramos is a political sociologist who investigates issues of social justice and equity. He has published on social movements, human rights, environmental advocacy, immigration, ethnicity, and race. He is currently working on projects looking at secondary cities, environmental advocacy, tourism development, and integration of immigrants and refugees. He works with graduate students looking at these issues as state funding of women’s organizations, new technology, and public attitudes and social values.
