
Heidemeyer, Helge
Heidemeyer studied medieval and modern history, political science, and economics at the universities of Passau and Munich.
From 2003 to 2005 he was the first scientific director to set up the Marienfelde Refugee Center Memorial . From 2008 to 2019 he was head of the department for education and research in the Stasi Records Authority . Until 2012 he was a staff member of the Commission for the History of Parliamentarism and Political Parties .
As of June 2019, Heidemeyer is the head of the Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial Foundation.
